Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem October 5, 2014

Robert Stearns: “Jerusalem’s Peace… A Day To Pray Together” http://www.daytopray.com/home

ElijahList Prophetic Resources

Dear Praying Friends,

GOD is stirring the hearts of His people to pray for Jerusalem as never before.

Steve ShultzJoin me in this global chorus of prayer on Sunday, October 5th as hundreds of millions of Christians in literally every corner of this planet will unite for the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) – a day specifically set aside annually for the Church to gather and pray for Jerusalem. This prayer call has come from more than 1,300 global leaders.

A Call to Prayer

History is repeating itself.

The names may have changed, only the game is the same.

The goal is annihilation; only it’s more than one nation.

The evil is anti-Semitic and full of hate; we need to stop this terrible fate.

Threats and demands are the order of their day; producing fear and destruction along the way.

How long do we wait to aid our brothers and sisters in Christ?

How long do they suffer while our government ponders their plight?

We have no excuse for leaving in the first place; they need the strong arm of America’s military base.

This is a call to prayer my friends; a call to God for this genocide to end.

So to those who read this, please pass it on so we can fight the enemy’s wrongs.

Ask God for his mercy; ask God for his grace so his people will repent and find peace all over the place.

2 Chronicles 7: 14 “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

The Great Commission

In the circles of Christianity we hear of God’s commission he gave to us through Jesus Christ.

The disciples had 3 years to learn from Jesus. One- on- one, group and large crowds of teaching material right in front of their own eyes. The day they met him individually, changed history.

The question of many including Christians in modern times is,Bible-Jesus-Disciples-Mary-Magdalene-History-Channel

“The miracles, deliverance and healings during Jesus ministry and the disciples after he ascended into Heaven, ended when they died out. Those supernatural gifts no longer exist.”

If that is true, then none of us would be alive today.

The greatest problem with society today is unbelief. And that is not limited to the truth of God’s word.

Recently, in the midst of the chaos in my personal life God brought two of the sweetest Jehovah Witnesses to my door. My reputation with most of them has been they don’t come back after visiting me one time. Somehow the real truth of Jesus Christ sends them running the other way.  One Elder who purposely showed up after a couple had “mission-ed” me told them in front of me I was evil and to never return.

Explaining to these two women most JW rejected me, they vowed that was not who they were as a church and apologized. I didn’t need an apology for the truth but they were embarrassed their own had acted so rude.

We really hit it off. Inviting them in the first visit we had a wonderful chat. It was a “divine appointment” even though they had no idea it was for them. Honestly, I can’t tell you what I said because the Holy Spirit flowed through my words like a river of fresh water. It was apparent because the girls were receptive, yet dubious.

Always traveling in pairs as part of their mission, one is a seasoned member and the other is a trainee. One of these girls had been a life- long member; the other left the Baptist church 6 years ago to join which is indicative of the mainstream churches’ problems.

Believing as many that God quit healing people when the disciples of Jesus died out, they were no different. Our discussion was cut short and they had to leave but promised to return. And they did but with other questions they had for me. I am waiting for them to come back because I really enjoyed their company and felt they were overjoyed with our meetings.

God is an answer waiting to happen. Praying for a verse, word or anything to explain miracles of healing, casting out demons, deliverance, and supernatural mysteries Jesus and his disciples performed continue today was my mission. I have no doubt this is real and occurs today. I have witnessed it and will re-iterate if I had to live the rest of my life on this earth believing otherwise, what would be the point in anything?

Matthew 28:20-21 (amplified) Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

And there it is. Jesus says, “Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you”.

What did he command the disciples to do?

Mark 3: 14-15 “And He appointed twelve to continue to be with Him, and that He might send them out to preach [as apostles or special messengers] And to have authority and power to heal the sick and to drive out demons:

Matthew 10: 1, 8 “And Jesus summoned to Him His twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of disease and all kinds of weakness and infirmity. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give.

Jesus told the disciples to teach the good news which included salvation, healing, casting out demons, etc. Matthew 28:20 Jesus tells his disciples to teach them (or others, us) to observe what they did commanding us to do the same.

Jesus is clear in that scripture he has given authority down through the ages of people to repeat his commands of all he did and more during his ministry.

Then why isn’t the modern church obeying him?

Quote: Is Your GPS on?

“Praying is probably the most important part of preparing to do something, yet so many people today ignore or forget this vital part of the process.

Prayer is like the GPS system in your car. When you turn it on it tells you where you are going and shows you the path you need to take.

Prayer gives us God’s GPS “Guidance, Provision and Strength.”

Joyce Meyer

A True Story of a Miracle of Provision

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19

This past week God interrupted me.  While I was so busy running my mouth to him I almost missed a vital opportunity for him to grant someone else a much needed miracle.

Many are hurting from all kinds of attacks, evil or doing without. This story is a “big shout out” for those in places of lack.

As many of you know I have my own Property Management Company. Rent is collected at the beginning of each month as stipulated in the Lease Agreements. Timing here was very relevant since I am in contact with the tenants.

A family who rents one of the homes I manage has suffered financially for quite a while.  Like others who have lost jobs or been laid off this is their story.

Thankfully Megan has a very good job with a huge medical clinic.  With 4 children, the need is great for both parents to be working but Robert has been laid off numerous times simply due to bad economics. He is well able to work and wants to unlike many who feed off of welfare. I commend him for his efforts of working whenever he could find it.

While sitting in my chair, having coffee with God Wednesday morning, all of a sudden Robert’s car came to my mind. Believing it was some random thought I dismissed it and kept running my mouth giving God the latest prayer list of needs.

Again his car showed up in my head.  Ignoring it my one-sided conversation continued until God finally broke in for the 3rd time, “Ask Robert about his car.”  I knew they had 2 cars but one has been sitting in their driveway for weeks.police

“What God? Why?”

God “Because you grew up in a car business. You know what to tell him to do.”

Our minds collect information from different sources. Often God places a phrase or sentence there that becomes what is referred to as a “knowing.”  Like you just know which house to buy or who to marry.

Needing to question it if you are in close connection to God isn’t
necessary. Just believe and act. If you are wrong he will let you know.

Through numerous text messages Robert explained to me the 1998 vehicle had 270,000 miles on it with no radiator.  Replacing anything in a car with that many miles on it is useless.  He agreed with my opinion so I asked him if he was going to buy another car.

Robert “Maybe if we get a refund on our taxes” was his reply.

Me “How are you getting to work with Megan using the other car?”

Robert, “I was laid off. I am not working now.”

Me, “Not again? How are you holding up financially?”

Robert, “We cut the TV/internet off and are now getting food stamps and living on her salary.”

Me, “So you have no way to search for a job or a car to drive to find one.
(Police work is his past history. He has applied to the local departments for
that position but the process is very long and not very promising.)
Is law enforcement the type of work you want?”

Robert, “I will work the night shift at Wal-Mart if I have to.”

At that moment the words came to my mind, “Get in touch with Mark about a job at the college where he works.”

This particular college has around 4000 students so security is a necessity.

I texted Mark. He texted back to tell me to have Robert call the Head of Security at the School.

That was on Wednesday, January 8.job_openings

Robert called me Friday afternoon after his interview.
This is Monday, January 13th and he started work today.

It is rare they have any openings in that department. The day before I found out about Robert’s situation an employee who had been in that position for many years had just been released.

Robert told me his mother had been praying the right job would come along. Mark spoke to the Head of Security over the weekend at the New Student Orientation after she hired Robert. She told him he was exactly what she was looking for.

God’s hand is written all over this.

Anyone out there need a job?

Are you Angry? Grieved? If you aren’t, Maybe You should Be

What makes you angry? What makes you cry?

Road rage?
Your EX?
Touched by an Angel?”
The new drum set the kid next door just bought?

Anger is zeal or wrath with the right focus. Whatever we permit will continue; good or bad.

Spewing verbal nonsense at your spouse for beating you at Spades might not be such a good idea.

Kicking the neighbor’s dog for using your yard as a bathroom might get you a visit from The Humane Society.

Through the ages great men and women hated/and or grieved certain issues so much they did what they could to change them.

Moses hated slavery.
David wasn’t too fond of a Philistine giant.martin luther king
Solomon hated ignorance.
Paul hated legalism.

Albert Einstein hated the violin.

President Ronald Reagan told “Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall.”
Mother Theresa grieved over poverty.
Martin Luther King Jr. hated hate
Bono hates AIDS

Many issues today grieve me.  Some I hate. For instance:

How the church is being persecuted.
I grieve over abortion, those deceived into homosexuality, injustice.
I hate human trafficking, violence and crime; abuse, dictatorships and bullying.
I hate the possible results of drunk driving.
I grieve over orphans, the homeless and sick; war, starving people, and the terminally ill.
I grieve for those who are depressed, addicted, heartbroken or suicidal; oppressed, innocent and downtrodden.
I absolutely hate cigarettes. And raspberries.
I hate/grieve over what is happening to our nation.

I grieve over the pain and agony Jesus suffered for me.

Miraculous changes are often the result of motivated God fearing anger.

Healing of the wounded or afflicted can be end products of the fire of a grieving heart.

So, you ask,

“What can I do about this?”answer%20the%20call

Ask God.

If God wants any of us to act, he will equip us to fulfill his calling.

Mark 6:46: “And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.”

If we are unable to physically deliver on a need, then pray. Pray and pray some more.

It works.

Who knows. Maybe we can change the world.

An Uprising

In the wake of devastation occurring in “tornado alley” the horror of what happened in the span of 40 minutes is hard to swallow. The photos, videos and heartbreak of loss and damage are shocking.child survivor

While grief and pain are written on the faces of those rummaging around to find survivors, an uprising of faith from around the country is taking over.

Don’t tell the folks in Moore, Oklahoma or the surrounding areas prayer isn’t appropriate or worse, politically incorrect. Everywhere people are praying!

Interviews of survivors are using the words, “all we can do is pray.”

Prayer is the best act to be done. God is all over facebook, online news and TV requesting prayer by the faithful.

surviving kittens
Postings of miracle photos and videos are showing up; even pets and God’s smallest creatures are being rescued.

God didn’t want this to happen. It is completely and totally the face of evil.

Let us continue to pray for those fighting through the debris and loss.

American Flag

Let us pray without ceasing for God’s great hands of protection to cover this land once again.

What goes around…ends up next door?

Life is funny.

A few years back one of our neighbors wanted to kill our cat. Skirting the details I will suffice it to say due to circumstances out of their control it was an unaccomplished threat. Never mind they were breaking the law and no one told them, but they don’t hesitate to accuse others who are.

Believing God works in mysterious ways is not a jibe here, but after 2 years of repeated acts of hate towards us, they now have another problem. And it isn’t our cat.

“It just so happens” their next door neighbor got a new dog back a few months ago.  Until recently, it wasn’t that noticeable when she let the dog out in the backyard in a little fenced in area. Now that the weather is warmer and windows come flying open the entire neighborhood knows when the little pooch is outside.12256194845o1eV5

The sound of a wailing child loudly reverberates down the street. His moaning and groaning is nauseatingly annoying. Over and over he cries wanting back in until his howl or yowl becomes a lamenting whine. This little pup is not happy alone in the back yard.

Wearing himself out, he stops periodically to rest his pathetic voice. Once revived he begins whimpering. The whimpering soon grows into what I would label as a “sobbing dog.”

He stays until he has relieved himself; however long that may take.

The owner is oblivious to this “canine rant” or maybe is just hard of hearing.

Knowing the conversations we have had about this pitiful creature I can only imagine what the “cat killers” must think. The screened in back porch they relax in has a direct view to the dog pen and is in very close range to hear his sniveling yelps.

I wonder if they will confront this pup’s owner for disturbing their peace.

Some people are born grumpy.

Sadly, they never grow out of it.

It must be exhausting searching for everyday wrongs done by others so grouches can uphold their reputation.

During this attack, I began praying for them. Sure, I asked God to protect our cat, but their souls are hurt and damaged.

God has shown me when I pray for those who seek to persecute, hate or lash out, he changes my heart towards them. He discloses the need, pain and misery others may be experiencing so that I may be able to view them as he does. Doing so, eliminates the assault and whether they are at peace with me or not, I am at peace with them.

His compassion for them rubs off on me resulting in separating the sin from the sinner.

Without them ever knowing it, God intervenes to soften their hearts as prayer is continued to bring them to the Cross of Christ.

During this process, God sanctions behind the scenes miracles for the prayer soldier.

Like eradicating the initial reason the attack was made to begin with.

In our case, God used other means to remove their animosity towards our furry feline.

Where Oh Where has our God gone?

Just when you think God took a flight back to Heaven and left us here to fend for ourselves, he shows up.adam

If I were God, I would leave. Or send another flood. If he asked me who to leave for the flood I would be glad to give him a list.

Maybe you have noticed the cloud of dread, trepidation or unease floating around. It is a sense of alarm or almost creepiness stirring in the atmosphere. The fact is if you turn on the news or any kind of media, fear has become an international marketing tool. Money makers or the power huggers seek to ravage our thoughts with distrust and anxiety in the hopes we will turn to them for escape.

Some of us are not so gullible. Others believe Dec. 21st is actually the end of the world. My suitcases are empty and remain in my closet.

If I didn’t know better, it appears the devil is having a hay-day. Reading another blog she emphasized how America has completely changed in her lifetime. I agree.

As she spoke on the difference of viewpoints in our country, God is separating people. While at the surface, our world appears to be caving in a huge pothole. But…

Rainbows are revealed after the storm; and usually with a solid blue background so the colors are vividly seen.

Flowers grow and blossom in the spring representing new life.

Of all the children that have ever been born, one child in a lowly stable stood out as the “Star of Bethlehem” appeared brightly shining above him.

There is hope, people. His name is Jesus.self pity

I would ask you to join my pity party here, but I saw an exit Sunday morning. Praying for some time now God would make a grand entrance in church, he picked yesterday to do so.

Not many would have noticed but he landed in the same row I was sitting which was at the back. Up close, the music is so loud my sinuses and ears can’t handle it.

A young woman who was by herself came and sat on the end to my left.  On the other side of me, a young couple moved in sitting a few chairs away from me.

The “Praise and Worship” at the beginning filled the building. New renditions of Christmas music rang out like you were in a concert hall. It was a moving experience.

As we stood up to join in I noticed the young girl to my right had been crying. Her husband kept his arms around her as if to comfort her. He appeared distraught.

The more we sang the more she cried. Wrapped in each other’s arms, tears flowed down his face.

While singing I moved beside them placing my hand on her back. Immediately the power of the Holy Spirit settled upon us like a covering. Surrounded by his peace, we took little notice of anyone else around us.

This went on for a while. All of a sudden she turned to me, her face covered in tears, she hugged me and hugged me and hugged me. I could tell she didn’t want to let go so we just stood there holding each other.

Drenched in their broken hearts, they left the service.

I have never met them.

Do not know their names.

Have no clue what the problem was, nor do I need to know.

Don’t know if I will ever see them again.

When you don’t know why you are where you are, it is easy to string the balloons, put on the party hats and eat too much of your home made chocolate cake with chocolate icing all by yourself.

Only all that does is make you feel full and bloated.

Lamenting my days of trying to “find my place in this corner of the world” has weighed heavily on my mind. Finding my purpose is his purpose even when I don’t know what that is yet.

But he gave me a taste of it yesterday.

Waiting, aimlessly at times for the Holy Spirit to do his thing in the church is a prayer I pray daily.  Observing weary, tired yawning soldiers in his chairs on Sunday may be part of the reason he stands outside hoping for an invitation.

His announcement and presence gave me hope that he has heard our cries and prayers.

The Holy Spirit’s companionship poured supernatural joy into my heart to share with those who were hurting and in pain even though we were strangers. The connection filtered through a barrier of hopelessness replacing it with hope.

Yesterday’s unexpected visit is a sign.

Let the Harvest begin.stable

The Mardi Gras of Idiots

Recently God enlightened me with an answer for an issue I have been dealing with for 5 years. Now, I may be a little slow on the up-take, but perseverance pays off.

God shows us the answer; it is up to us to hear, see or understand it. The measure I find annoying is the solution to our needs is smack-dab right in front of our eyes, not to mention simple.

Aggravated with myself after begging, pleading and crying my case to Almighty God as if he was out doing his laundry and had his cell phone off.

God listens. Bending his ear after I have whimpered my tune repetitiously he reveals his infinite patience.

Awakened by this revelation, God revealed to me as I sat in church how the enemy had masqueraded the answer redundantly and uncultured.

More than his iconic wearisome cloak is why can’t I get it right from the start? How do I get past the usual cover-up and dissimulation he parades around in? You would think by now after years of one attack after another I would see through his masked costume.

It isn’t like he hadn’t attacked two other times in my life convening around the same obstacle. I refuse to be duped by his domino façade. He is an idiot.

The layer God peeled off of me was major; yet the resolution is a life changer. But, the truth is my own negligence to recognize the repeat performance of the evil one depicts he is running out of options. As I have spoken so eloquently to my readers, “when the enemy continues to attack us in the same areas over and over, it means he is low on ammunition.”

Oh, that I would listen to my own advice.

The aggression of the disguised intruder has hit me hard on many occasions. So, if I may share with you what I have learned from his onslaught of dirty deeds, it is my hope you will fare better when he decides to invade your life.

  1. Don’t panic or jump to conclusions. He will disguise them.
  2. Pray. Bring the issue to God. Ask him for guidance and direction.
  3. Read his word lining up the difficulty with scriptures that hold the answer.
  4. Remember/reflect on past attacks. How did it happen? Is there a connection to your present affliction/violation?
  5. Rebuke the devil. Speak to the problem and tell it to be removed. Luke 4, James 5:7
  6. Be open and alert to however God may unravel the result. God has answered prayers for me through people, magazines, movies, books, the internet, and enemies, and of course his word. Years ago after 18 months of a very annoying problem, God showed me what to do when another person handed me an article from a Redbook magazine. Also, you will have an absolute “knowing” coming from your spirit that it was from God.
  7.  Remember God loves variety. Don’t limit his resolution by thinking you know how he will reveal it. Sometimes it was the opposite of what I thought it would be.
  8. It may be a quick-fix or happen over time.
  9. Trust God completely. Ask others to pray for you, but speak the solution not the problem.

10. Situations/pain/or distress may get worse before it gets better. Hang in there. The deepest cuts expose the eye-opening announcements; even visions of your answer.

Most important; Ask God for a prayer language. It is the gate that opens to other spiritual levels of growth. The person praying will be edified, encouraged and comforted as the words flow from your spirit to God.

Spend time alone with God pointing out the verses that appeal to your specific issue reminding him of his promises.

Miracles happen in His Presence which means slow down, get quiet and be still and know that he is God. Psalm 46:10
