Where do you belong? And what are you doing about it?

Sounds silly doesn’t it.

Of course we all know where we belong. We are where we are. Or are we?

Truth is many are where they are because they put themselves there. Choosing to go, be or do what we choose results many times in making something work when it wasn’t meant to work.  In other words, omitting God’s design for us.

A perfect example is the so-called “Affordable Care Act” or government run health insurance.

The program is an unraveling failure about to happen. Why?

God never ordained a country to promote a government run health care plan. This is a man-made, power hungry, money stealing plot for leaders to gain control of the people.

The shoe doesn’t fit. So throw it away or ask God to find you a new pair of shoes? Duh….

Life becomes uncomfortable and unsettling when we aren’t living out the purpose God planned for us. Many don’t even try. Others give up before finding out what their destiny is. The result can leave catastrophic effects on everyone involved.

Symptoms occur such as insignificance and inferiority which can then lead to irritation and retaliation. The lack of direction unfolds and a circle of mistakes follow. Waves of hardships and difficulties surround people who refuse to seek God for the reason they were born in the first place.602261_714297525266379_1807094418_n

Joseph, in the Bible is an example of one who knew his destiny. However, his life was not all peaches n’ cream. In fact for many years he was subjected to more than his share of misery including betrayal, false accusations, beatings, and imprisonment.

Joseph stood alone many years. He didn’t allow the expectations of others to get in the way of his dream. He was different and he knew it. Accepting his uniqueness eased the years of torment and anguish he suffered because he used it for God.

No matter what he went through he kept his focus on the goal God had laid out for him many years before. Doing so brought him from the “pit to the palace.”

God will lead us to his calling when we seek and spend time alone with him and read his word. Giving us clues along the way, the Holy Spirit will help us find our passion and desires for life. Self-examination aids in clarifying our positions before God.

As we search, positive qualities will emerge that others see in us. The ability to solve problems unlocks doors of favor and opens up hidden answers we didn’t see before.

God honors us when we plant seeds of hope in the hurting. Encouragement goes a long way in a heart full of pain.

Are you ready to stand out, stand alone and live for God instead of the anticipations of others?

Are you ready to be different?

“When you announce your goals, you provide every friend an opportunity to prove their loyalty.”

A Season of Folly (Part 3)

Proverbs 18:6 “Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.”

The effort to tell people “truth” is comparable to a fool acting wisely.  The two don’t mix.

America’s educated appear to have missed some major assignments.1379366_189756757877386_834422937_n

Certain people were interviewed on the new health care law. The questions/answers asked went something like this,

“Do you want the Affordable Care Act?” No, I would rather have Obamacare.”

“Which would you rather have? Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act? Oh, definitely the Affordable Care Act; it’s free.”

Beyond this unbelievable show of illiteracy are the fights, arguments and spats over authoritative generalities from minds of literacy who claim to know the truth but are blinded by their own pride.

Taking on a conversation of what kind of government we have as a test, I posted the truth that God has taught me.

It didn’t take long to find I was the odd one out.  Jumping in on the thread were all walks of life.  Quickly the mood of the comments turned into a bunch of disgruntled, angry, educated Americans. But what was the most disheartening were those claiming to be Christians giving out wrong information and bashing each other for the right to be right.

I don’t claim to know much, but this I do know.

God is the creator of governments and places leaders in the positions he chooses. He establishes leaders, kings, queens, etc. that exist; and spells out clearly the roles of those who sit in the chairs of authority. (Romans 13)

Of course the ridicule began slamming me with constitutional efforts written by men who knew nothing of God nor the purpose for which God created our great nation.

A question thrown at me was, “Cathy, what do you say the government is responsible for? Who is going to help the poor, and hungry if the government doesn’t? The Constitution outlines the need to help others. Where is your Christianity that you claim to have?”

“This is not nor will it ever be a Christian country. Sure. The Founding Fathers went to church but exercising a faith in Jesus has never been documented.” Those were the famous words from a Christian who received applause from the liberals, and non-believers.

The punch line from a Christian was,1011947_481658521917682_191035114_n

“God is not interested in politics. He could care less what is going on in Washington. “

After I tried once again to get a word in, it made no difference. The goal was to argue personal points of interest as if to promote their own agenda’s. Forget that God had anything to do with anything at all.

As part of my test, the next day I checked the thread which had added more inflammatory comments and the fight was on again.

I deleted my comments. 24 hours later it was as if I had never written anything. My words were completely forgotten.

I could care less what they thought of me. Defending God’s word is not necessary because the truth needs no defense.

Since God is interested in every detail of our lives, then you can’t leave government out.

God may not be interested in slimy, backbiting politics but he oversees and fashions the steps of those he has placed in high positions.

And…thankfully, he knows more than any of us what is really going on in Washington.

Wait! What was that? You mean God has a few surprises in the near future for America?

Social Misgivings

In an age and nation where society is big on approval of each other, it falters in areas of stubbornness and hard heartedness.

The trouble amounts to a vast array of opinions. When you have no center or focal point of right or wrong it becomes an “anything goes” atmosphere. But it changes quickly to a fight when the next person comes along and their desires don’t match up with the last person’s opinion.

The result is nothing short of anarchy.

Anarchy is nothing short of selfish, self-serving, all-about-me promotion.

Labor Unions have poured heavy amounts of money into the Democratic party over the years. The President was backed by them in both elections. Supporting his policies, believing his speeches they now find themselves caught up in his lies.

Rendering the Affordable Care Act to the American people was never done. Slammed down our throats, the Labor Unions encouraged it, defended it and cheered on the President and Nancy Pelosi for passing such a game changer.

Union bosses are crying “fowl” over the bill realizing it will raise premiums and costs and employers will drop coverage and get it elsewhere. What this amounts to is the Unions losing a whole lot of money.

girl crying

Whatever the case or coverage, Union leaders aren’t going along with the plan now and are calling on the President for a repeal or overhaul.

The favored line the President used, “If you like your healthcare plan, keep it.” If union members drop out of union health insurance, the money won’t be there to cover the members who remain. This has one union boss basically calling what the President said, “an untruth.”

The Affordable Care Act is falling apart according to Harry Reid and Max Baucus. Both, especially Max Baucus were instrumental in getting this huge piece of legislation passed.

Republicans have spoken against it from the start and continue to hold votes to repeal it. The Senate which is led by Democrats votes against the repeal.

Catholics are suing the government against the mandate of selling birth control pills in their hospitals, clinics, etc.

Doctor hate it.

Small businesses reject it.

Conservative religious groups don’t want it.

Pro- life groups have protested it.

The NRF or National Retail Federation says it penalizes employers.

26 states have opted out of Obamacare

Even Mark Zuckerberg is running ads against Obamacare.

This list is not even close to the number of people, groups or individuals who have made it known they do not want this legislation.

People who cannot afford it or cannot pay the penalty if they don’t have it are:

Poor and impoverished
Laid off employees
Starving college students
Starving college students with thousands of dollars of student loans
Single parents

Now the Labor Unions don’t want it?

Employers have cut jobs due to the cost of this insurance.

Doctors are leaving their practices due to this insurance.

The 2700 pages of legislation is complicated, very costly and most don’t even know what is in it. Maybe Nancy Pelosi does. It is a TAX that the American people can’t afford, and the majority don’t want.

The IRS was tapped to handle the enforcement of this law.

Until now; the IRS scandal has changed everything.

The President isn’t backing down.

He says the legislation is here to stay.

“The Affordable Care Act” is the law of the land he said.

So what does this mean?

It means this President could care less what the American people need or want.

He is willing to betray those who placed him in office for this piece of legislation no one can figure out.

It means he is more interested in political gain than doing what is best for America.
