Denomination in Defiance of Israel

Having been a member of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination years ago,
I am outraged at the latest affirmation this particular group has adopted.Kingdoms_around_Israel_830_map.svg

As a liberal limb of the Presbyterians this denomination continues to reflect the political ideology of America rather than abide by the Word of God.

Instead of aligning themselves with Israel, they have decided it is the problem in the Middle East.

Zionism Unsettled: A Congregational Study Guide is the newest release from the Israel/Palestinian Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church, USA. Declaring Israel as a “human rights degradation” within the Palestinian people is the basis of this so-called newsletter.

Never mind that Israeli teachers walk around with rifles attached to their belts.

Forget the number of attacks in the last 5 years on the Israeli’s killing children and injuring many others.

Don’t remind the Palestinians of how many of their injured are treated and cared for by Israeli doctors and clinics.

The truth is the Palestinians have no military. For the most part the Palestinians are disorganized and unable to have efficient local entities to keep peace.

Israel has one of the best in the world and for obvious reasons.  Rebel Palestinians use any means of weaponry against Israel and yet according to this journal and I quote,

Zionism Unsettled explains accurately and concisely why it is essential to look at the theological roots of Zionism, and how it has appealed to both Jews and Christians, in order to understand the true nature of the long ordeal suffered by the Palestinian people, as well as the real roots of so much of the strife in the Middle East.”

According to the Anti-Defamation League’s press release this report reveals 4 reasons Israel is now considered the Presbyterian Church USA’s enemy and they are:date-palms

  1. Israel is the responsible party for the Palestinian conflict
  2. Israel has no right to a homeland
  3. Zionism is evil resulting in ethnic cleansing and cultural genocide
  4. If you are an American then you share in this evil against the Palestinians

God is clear about Israel. If you don’t support his people and homeland he will not support you. That includes governments and churches.

Is it a Shadow?

God wants us to live our days in his power being ever aware of his presence. There are times we search, seek and yearn for a sign, a note or a nudge he is near.

Days when there are no words spoken between the closest and dearest, so it is with  EL-SHADDAI or The God of the Mountains (Psalm 91:1)1383076_10153318943015010_1812988768_n

We may hear no sound or whisper. There may be no evidence he is even close by.

Look deep; you may notice a shadow.

He is standing boldly between you and your foes.

The Voice of Love: Quote by Francis Frangipane

Let me take our statements of faith further and make our quest for discernment as practical as possible. If we seek to know Christ‘s motives we will soon perceive His thoughts, for thoughts exist to fulfill motives. Christ’s motive for coming to mankind is to reveal the Father’s love. If we obtain His motive, we will increasingly hear His thoughts.

The ABC’s of Faith

Small word with great value.

How do you know if you have it? If you do how did you get it?

You know you have faith when you look back remembering when you had none.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.

Christians have heard that line over and over.

What we don’t realize is you have to study God’s word for faith to grow.

Faith isn’t something we grow ourselves; God grows it as we learn from him.

I can say that because my faith has grown where I had none.

In other areas I feel like I am in first grade.

Frustration hits when you have absolute faith over there, but over here you forget part of the alphabet.

Jumping from A to H is a mindless step.  A-B-C-D-E- and so on is the logical preference.

Bits and pieces of faith eventually fill the puzzle but God is a God of sequence and order.

Is God too small to do the impossible? No.

God is bigger than any impossibility. Just speaking those words should filter through our system of belief creating more faith. Then what is the problem?

We may believe God can do the impossible over there, but over here we have doubts.

God and I have had more conversations about this than I can count. He is really patient because I would never put up with me for that long.

Seeking him over and over in one area of receiving victory is not nearly as much about the problem as having victory over it. Having the determination to trust God becomes priority over the suffering.  Your love for God has reached a plateau past the pain.

My husband says I am trying too hard.  Tell him to go to the farm for a while.

What if he is right?

Past rescues from God reveal what he does for us when we don’t deserve it, we have failed or are really going about it all in the wrong way.

As I have said before God’s mercy for our effort is limitless.Hebrews11

God prefers we start with A rather than Z. or worse M.

Yet, he meets us in the middle or the end of our rope.

He also prefers we not beg, bargain, cry, feel sorry for ourselves or whimper.

But he knows our hearts which often supersedes our wailing, sobbing or screaming.

After we have exhausted any more adjectives of moaning, groaning or pity parties, God still gives you faith. However small it may be, you know you learned you are not where you were and never passing that way again won’t enter your mind.

Truth is no matter how difficult we make it for ourselves, he takes our emotional ruin and shows up in places like a bathroom.

There is very little in life more defining than having the Messiah show up while you are taking a bath.
