Either or Yay or Nay

God has already given his say.

The tone or rhetoric is substantially self inclusive.

The outburst against that which is Godly has evolved into a noticeable shout.

When it comes down to asking the questions of authority and who is  really in charge you would think we would be going to “hell in a hand basket.”

The divisiveness has ruined relationships.

The elevated sub conscious ideology that we are being told repeatedly we are better off than before is humorous but sickening.

How can a nation be better off when attempting to retire God by a vote?

God is not an option. Whether you believe in him or not, makes no difference.

Just because a person wakes up one morning and decides to become an atheist doesn’t mean God is going to run away.

Just because one decides to “come out of the closet” as if to announce a gay/lesbian lifestyle hasn’t changed the gender God created you to be.

Just because a nation decides God, the Bible, or Israel isn’t politically correct or acceptable anymore, hasn’t changed God’s ordained word.

Just because some think a woman should be given a right to choose, doesn’t give us that right. After all our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit which belongs to God.

Just because me, you or this nation has opinions isn’t going to change a thing. God is not sitting on a throne waiting to hear what we have to say.

The defining lines of life are spelled out clearly in the Bible and apply whether you believe them or not or choose to abide by them or do otherwise.

God is not a line of a political platform used as a piece of information to vote on. (Acts 16:31)(Ecclesiastes 3:14)(2 John 1:9-11)(Colossians 1:17)

God is not related to any political party or group. (Romans 13:1-2, 4, Romans 12)

God is not running for office. He is the Office. (Exodus 20:3)(Romans 13)(Exodus 17:19-21)

God hates and is against abortion. (Exodus 20:13)(Proverbs 6:17)

God hates lying and dissension. (Proverbs 6:17)(Proverbs 10:18)(Proverbs 24:8)

God abhors laziness. (Proverbs 19:24)(Proverbs 19:15)(Proverbs 10:4)

He, who does not work, shall not eat. (2 Thessalonians 3:10)(Proverbs 28:19)

God expects his church to care for widows and orphans. (James 1:27)(Job 31:16)(Proverbs 31:20)

Jesus went where he was celebrated, not tolerated. (Luke 4:30)(Luke 9:5)

God will not allow deception in his leadership. (Proverbs 15:34)(Proverbs 11:14) (1 Kings 8:32; Ps. 9:8; 1 John 3:4).

Homosexuality is an abomination in his sight (Leviticus 18:22) (Leviticus 20:13) (Romans 1:26-28)

God set up marriage to be between one man and one woman. (Genesis 1:26-28)(Genesis 2:18)(Hebrews 13:4)

God expects financial restraints and stewardship (Proverbs 13:11) (Philippians 2:3) (1Timothy 6:10) (Deuteronomy 28:12)

God hates war, but tells us to be militarily prepared because we have a known enemy.
(2 Chronicles 20:17)(Proverbs 24:5-6)(Psalm 108:13)(Romans 13:1-5)

God will not tolerate other gods or idols taking his place. (Exodus 20:3)

God will not tolerate leaders who say, “I am in charge.” (John 19:11)(Mathew 16:18)
(1 Peter 2:9)(Proverbs 16:12)

All authority, power and rule are from God alone. (Romans 13:1)(Ephesians 1:21)(Matthew 28:18)

Any nation that wants the blessings of God must support Israel 100%. (Deuteronomy 41:2)(Genesis 12:2 & 3)(Luke 19:41)(Numbers 24:9)(Malachi 3:6)(Romans 11:1)

He did not give us rights, we are his right.

He does not force his rights on us; it is our privilege and honor to receive them.

Coffee and A Brood of Vipers

Sitting in my swivel chair this morning with a cup of coffee with Amaretto creamer I opened my Bible to Proverbs. Specifically Proverbs 2: 12, Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse.”

Ok,  God. Then he told me to look over at Proverbs 4:24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.”

God spoke again, “ Blog for today; tell people to stop cussing.”

Did you get that? Stop cussing. Stop swearing. There, I told you.

Like God, I am troubled at the filthy, nasty words that flow out of people’s mouths.

The vulgarities used today are mindless and in need of a new vocabulary.

For me, I cannot listen to it. The words are disturbing. Cussing is a non-use, an expletive of expletives.

Years ago, being subjected to so many vile, profanities 24/7, broke me of ever spewing such contamination.

Besides the fact God views swearing as corrupt, the sound is demeaning, belittling and intrusive.

Exodus 20:7“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.”

If God views cussing as perverse, I think he wants us to recuse ourselves.

What is the point? Why throw such meaningless obscenities around?

Do you feel tough or smarter than those of us who don’t?

Are you creating a stance of “don’t mess with me” attitude?

Are you following the crowd slowly into the lake of fire with your words?

Your English grammar teacher taught you? Sorry. I asked that, not God.  Thought you might want to blame it on some teacher you had years ago who can’t defend themselves.

Swearing/Cussing promotes evil from within. Like the verse,

Matthew 12: 34-35 “You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.”

If swearing/cussing flies  from your storage, what else is in there? Ugh..I don’t really want to know.

I have found in conversations with a brood of vipers that eject their unconscionable view of what is in their hearts, as soon as they find out I am a Christian it stops.

Ummmm….wonder what that means?

Maybe they respect my views?

They are embarrassed all of a sudden for their lack of vocabulary?

They spoke out of turn or had an unusual lapse in judgment?

They didn’t realize I was a Christian before the excessive use of 4 letter words escaped them?

So….if any of the above are the case, why do it at all?

OH. I get it. Swearing/Cussing is ok when accompanied by others who apply these non-words themselves but are uncomfortable around those who pursue words of wisdom, knowledge and understanding…..and leave out such filthy language?

Does this mean it is a choice to cuss or not to cuss?

SURE! But you are condemning yourself when you do.

You are choosing to go against God’s word if you do.

You deepen the hole in your heart of delusion if you do.

So God says don’t do it. or stop taking his name in vain.
