Is there anything worth laughing about?

Sometimes you just have to laugh! LOL!

I know the world around us is no reason to laugh right now, but someone has to be cheerful or how will anyone see the light?

Our Pastor spoke this past weekend of how funny God must be. I agree with him.

Think about it.laughing

The Bible is full of far-fetched and at times preposterous stories!

What right minded, stable adult would believe God actually parted the Red Sea?

What Ivy League Professor would be able to accept this guy who ran from God ended up in a huge fish?

And how about Daniel? Thrown in the Lion’s Den and they weren’t hungry?

Growing up I never thought twice about “not” believing any of the Bible. It was what it is.

I never questioned the validity of Adam and Eve living in a perfect garden until Eve talked to a slithery snake or David knocking out a giant with a slingshot.

However, as an adult now I can see why some people might question the accounts of Paul and Silas chained to a dungeon wall praising God in the middle of the night as a fairytale, legend or narrative.

Imagine waking up one morning thinking, “I’ll join the Peace Corp; go to China and teach Farsi.

Or write on your to-do list for your spouse,

“Honey, I am going to California to pan for gold. Be back soon!”

Your other half may be glad you find gold but think “have you lost your mind?”

So it is with God’s great imagination and unlimited eye-catching scenes. Many have found his ingenious resourcefulness to be improbable.

Revelation 1: 5 “and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.”

Whose idea was it to create a perfect world?

Or part the Red Sea?

How did Jonah get into that whale and survive 3 days? (Just the thought of what he might have been sitting in is revolting)

Not only are these tales true, they are miraculous, bizarre, extraordinary and clever!

The Bible is one big story with one Big God as the writer and administrator.

If God is the author of such awesome exploits, would that imply he has a wit about him? A side of slapstick satire? A source of comicality or sparkle?

So here we are in a world of disarray, nations falling apart with people who have no clue, where is God?
What is he up to?

Parting the Nile?

“Ribbing”

untitledAdam and Eve. The first two people ever created. We all know the story of how Eve was created from Adam’s rib. So the “ribbing” began! LOL!

Seriously, why did God create two humans like them?

Genesis 1: 27 “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Maybe God wanted us to imagine what he looks like since he made them in his image.

Then verse 28 says, “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.”

So God says to be fruitful and multiply; in other words “go have a bunch of kids.”

Somewhere between Adam and Noah other people were born. Cain and Abel, Enoch, Mehujael, Methushael, Lamech, Zillah, Tubal-Cain and a sister named Naamah to name a few. Adam lived to be an old man of 930 having had sons and daughters according to Genesis 5: 3-4.

Just for the sake of question lets change things up a bit.

What if God created he and he and she and she instead of he and she?

The result would be 4 people on earth.

And no more. Why?

Because the Bible says Adam and Eve were to go and have a bunch of kids; not he and he and she and she.

Pro-creation would not have been possible leaving the world to end in the first few chapters of Genesis.

But…..since the Bible HAS been written from Genesis to Revelation mankind has lived and will live until the end of the “good ole’ book.”

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed as a result of sexual immorality including homosexuality.

The fall of Babylon was a direct result of violence, corruption and sexual sin of all kinds including homosexuality.

Judges 19: 27 speaks of perverted men in Ephraim. What resulted were consequences of war where 90,000 people died.

Romans 1 speaks of the many sins committed from pride, murder, deceit, sexual immorality and homosexuality. In Romans 2, God made it clear those with an unrepentant heart and stubbornness to commit such evil would suffer great wrath and judgment.

It really doesn’t matter what you believe; this is God’s word.

Homosexuality is an abomination to God.

No one is or was born gay. It is a clear choice and rejection of God.

There is no justification for a person who all of a sudden decides to change their gender because they believe they have discovered it. There is no discovery because it doesn’t exist.

The lie is a trick of the devil that is recorded back to the beginning of time. Along with this bogus ploy of deception is the idea we who have not made this discovery are to feel sorry for those who have and are to give in to their demands, expectations and to accept them for what they are.

Believing otherwise is a stamp of intolerance.

Personally, I have friends who claim this lifestyle and some family members. First and foremost is I am a sinner very willing everyday to ask for forgiveness. I have no right to judge anyone else and if I do, I will be on my knees.  However,

I love them but do not condone their sin anymore than one who gossips, lies or commits adultery.  Anyone who reads this post and judges me according to their position of so-called tolerance of this sin, needs to realize I have the guts to tell them the truth.  The truth set here, is about the concern I have for their place in eternity and the damage being done in the here and now.

Those who claim this lifestyle have set themselves up for a deadly trap; a sinister plan to gain total access to your soul by Satan himself. This is no laughing matter or anything to take lightly.

Physically speaking, pro-creation can only be performed between a man and a woman.

God didn’t create substitutes or alternates.

He created Adam and Eve.
