You have succeeded in making sure abortions will continue: gay marriages are acceptable and when Iran and Israel go to war, you will sit back and do nothing.
You have given free rein to a puppet man, national healthcare as a mandate, and taxes, yes, taxes will go up. Senator Reid made that great announcement yesterday.
You have decided that borrowing money is fine as long as you don’t have to pay it back. Why should you have to? You deserve it.
You have voted to enjoy the fruits of your education by going into major debt from thousands of dollars of student loans. Compliments of “Sallie Mae” promised by President Obama in October 2011.
You have allowed this government in 2012 to use our taxes for abortions and 1.2 million for a study of the World of Warcraft game. The National Science Foundation was given government money to see if rattlesnakes would accept “Robosquirrel; a robotic version of his prey.
NASA receives money to determine what foods are best to eat on Mars. For 1 million dollars a year you can enjoy the “Mars Menu.”
$300,000.00 this year was given to the Dept. of Agriculture to promote caviar; as people starve to death.
You have voted to reduce our military especially since you don’t believe in war; that makes it credible. Never mind all the jobs lost, benefits gone and the fact we can’t defend ourselves. You have designated the “Land of the Free” as open season for those who hate us; for those like Ahmadinejad who stood on this soil declaring Americans “infidels” that will be annihilated.
You have voted to ensure your salvation is as the President spoke, “a collective basis; not individual.”
You have stripped religious freedom from almost everything the Declaration of Independence says cannot be done. Instead you have chosen “political correctness” from your liberal agenda as the words we all must live by. Heaven forbid anyone would be offended.
You have voted to remove the constitution as the basic Christian foundation of this country in favor of a government that pursues demands on its citizens, like forcing people to buy healthcare unless you are in a Union. Who is going to pay insurance for those who have no money?
What about class warfare? The President believes we all should pay our “fair share” which is not Biblical.
You have voted to continue dolling out our hard earned money for welfare even though many who are “taking” it don’t qualify; they just don’t want to work. Why should they? They deserve to live off of someone else who is working. And in this process, the people who really need and qualify for welfare/food stamps are lost in the translation of those who are ripping the system off.
You have chosen a President and administration that openly refuses to support the best ally America has ever had. You have chosen an extremist relationship over Israel by denying support for the land and people God claims as his own.
You have voted “revenge” as the President announced instead of “love of country.”
You have voted to place your faith in a government that is broke, immoral and dishonest. You have taken the fiber of our nation and ripped it apart by accepting division over unity.
You have taken that which is “Sacred” ground and shoved it in the face of God by making every effort possible to kick him out of our existence.
I hope you are happy. You have won what you deserve.
I am not sure what you think you have won, but soon you will find out.
No matter what, we all reap what we sow; good or bad.
Watch out for the birds. You have placed America in the “Bakers Baskets.”

Hey Larry..just something interesting many do not know..when they translated the Bible, they called grape juice, vinegar, and fermented wine all wine. Jesus never drank wine. Wine and fermentation are always associated with sin and corruption. At the wedding, when he turned water into wine, if you study the original greek, it was grap juice..unfermented grape juice was a delicacy and used in celebrations of weddings. Jesus was Jewish and the Old Testament laws condemned drinking anything fermented..and it says that Jesus never once sinned. Anyhow, sometimes if we research the Bible in its original context, we’ll find that a lot of things we didn’t know will surprise us.
By the way, this note here was meant in no way to condemn what you do…it was just an FYI on your last comment..the one about Jesus. He drank grape juice with sinners…unfermented wine..not fermented wine. And, you can find in the new testament where it talks about new wineskins and old wineskins…. the new wine is unfermented grape juice..the old wine is fermented alcohol containing wine. God bless!

What I am saying is we should never concern ourselves with man..or put our faith in man. It does not matter who was elected….God is in control of everything. Not a single thing happens without God allowing it. We need to not worry about the world’s affairs or who they picked… If God is for US who can be against us? No one! God is God. He will decide. When King David took a census, God was angry because David was putting his faith in man instead of in God. God had always provided for Israel no matter what man was doing, or how great the army. He doesn’t want us looking to a man to lead us, but to God. So then, we ought not to be disgruntled or wounded by all of this. We know we are living in the days spoken of by Daniel and by John the Revelator. Let’s focus on Jesus and pray, Pray PRAY! That is what we are appointed by God to do. God put Obama where he is at, I believe, to fulfill prophecy. If, during the night after the election, you awoke to a loud sound; it was the ripping up of our Constitution. The really sad part in this is that it was the American people who were destroying it.
We are no longer even the pretense of a republic. We have chosen to become a socialist nation. Just as Israel was rejecting God by choosing to have a king; America has rejected freedom by choosing a massive welfare state to care for us from the cradle to the grave.
This was an election of ideas. The ideas that won were not new; they have been around for a long time. They have been embraced by other countries. Because of these ideas, millions of people in these countries have lost everything. Time and time again the promises of these ideas have failed to occur and their former advocates, who embraced them, were left worse off than before.
Instead of choosing the right to pursue happiness, the American people have chosen to have a government which they think will provide them with happiness. They have forsaken the idea of individual rights for the rights of groups and the rights of causes. They have forsaken free enterprise for a government controlled economy whose intrusion caused the housing bust to begin with. They have forsaken freedom of religion for an administration whose policies have consistently been anti-Christian. They have consistently re-elected corrupt politicians for the sake of the “pork” they can bring home to their district or state. They have forsaken thinking in terms of “what is good for America” as a whole – in favor of thinking only of “what is good for me”.
Unfortunately, what most do not realize is that this election was all about who would decide what is best for you; you or government bureaucrats! Obviously, the American people have chosen the later.
This is a time when it should dawn on us that we can only trust in God – not elections or presidents. Let us remember, “The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19 ESV) “For kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations.” (Psalm 22:28 ESV)

Samuel, you are so right. I am having a difficult time believing in my lifetime it has come down to such wickedness in this country. Knowing the end times are near is somewhat comforting but also there is so much pain already everywhere.
For me, the blogging experience here on wordpress has been a real blessing. We have a wonderful group of Christian friends who offer support and encouragement.
We do really need to pray in agreement that the President will have a true change of heart for God and follow his will. He desperately needs salvation for himself, but also to get this country where it needs to. God can do it.

I think the saddest part of knowing the rapture is near is thoughts of those people we question or know do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior. The ones questionable in our minds woud be the ones living like they don’t know Jesus…living in unrepentance. This is the hard time I have. There are some people no matter how hard you’ve tried you can’t get anywhere with them, and so you just pray.

I’ve done all the studies on wine in the Bible and to come up with your beliefs, you’ll have to ignore a lot of scriptures. The admonition about wine in the Bible is not to over drink and get drunk. Drunkenness is a sin, but having a drink is not.
Jesus drank wine, not Welch’s Grape Juice! (Welch’s Grape Juice was created for the temperance movement Christians)

What Kind of Wine Did Jesus Drink?

Most assume that the word “wine” in the Bible is always alcoholic. There are passages that clearly imply that “wine” can be intoxicating (Eph. 5:18, 1 Tim. 3:8, Titus 2:3). Still, “wine” is often simply grape juice. There are a number of examples of this. The grape juice from the grapes of the field is called “wine” (Deut. 11:14, 2 Chron. 31:5). “Wine” is mentioned to be in the grape (Isa. 65:8). The blood of the grape is called “wine” (Deut. 32:14). The vineyard is describe of consisting of “red wine” (Isa. 27:2). The grape juice of the wine-press is called “wine” too (Prov. 3:10). Biblical “wine” may be alcoholic or not at all. In reading the Old Testament, many would be surprised that there are 6 different Hebrew words that are translated “wine” for which two words, asis means “sweet grape juice” or “new grape juice” while another word, hemer, simply means “grape juice”, which have no reference to alcohol and yet are translated “wine”.
There are a lot of believers in Jesus who look to His drinking of wine. Yet, this too is speculative. Jesus is never mentioned to drink wine. Actually, Jesus was accused of being a “wine-drinker” from the Greek oinopoteis, because He came freely eating and drinking unlike John the Baptist, who restricted his eating and drinking (Matt. 11:18-19, Luke 7:33-34). Yet, when we consider the wedding in Cana, the institution of the Lord’s Supper, and Jesus’ life, then we see something different.
What about Jesus turning water to wine? Many are mistaken to assume that Jesus turned water into intoxicating wine at the wedding in Cana (John 2). One has to assume this “wine” [oinos] was alcoholic since oinos means grape juice. It seems strange that some would imply that Jesus would have aided a wedding to be a drinking party, when His Spirit teaches against drinking parties in 1 Peter 4:3. The person making this case would have to believe that the wedding ran out of a lot of supposed intoxicating wine, and then supposedly Jesus made between 120 to 150 gallons of “the good” (more) intoxicating wine. If there were 300 people there to drink 150 gallons, these would have already each had half-a-gallon of alcoholic wine being that “the guests have well drunk”, then Jesus would have doubled that what they had “well drunk”. Would not Jesus be encouraging drunkenness, excessive drinking, and a drinking party by doing something like? To assume that Jesus made intoxicating drinks is to assume that after everyone had drunk all the other intoxicating wine, then they needed more of the better intoxicating wine and Jesus was the man to do it.
In the Bible, alcoholic wine was limited in content and is not like wine today. The sugar of grape juice can only ferment to 3% alcohol, which is essentially nothing to the use of a drinker. For grape juice to exceed 3% alcohol, then yeast must be added. The yeast added to ancient wines produced between 4-10% alcohol. Alcohol often kills yeast cells and prevents levels going over 10%. Today, wines average 12-15% alcohol due to distilling that was invented centuries after the Bible was completed (International Biblical Encyclopedia, Wine Makers Magazines, and Alcohol in Moderation Digest). Today’s wine is not Biblical wine in regards to alcohol content. Due to distilling, strong drinks like liquor go over 20%. When we read the word “wine” in the Bible, it may be simply grape juice or intoxicating wine up to 10%, but certainly not like wine today.
The misuse of the word “wine” has become the means for many to assume that drinking alcohol to some level of intoxication is fine with God. By this, many try to justify the sins of drunkenness and excessive drinking. The Bible warns about the evils of drinking. “Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler, And whoever is led astray by it is not wise” (Prov. 20:1). The Scriptures are clear about drunkenness. Christians are not to walk in drunkenness, literally “filling oneself” (Rom. 13:13). Christ’s Spirit in Galatians 5:19-21 teaches that “drunkenness” is a “work of the flesh” and “those who are doing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Christ also reveals in 1 Corinthians 6:10, “nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Drunkenness is evil. Intoxication is a sin.
There is more to go along with the sin of drunkenness. First Peter 4:3 says, “For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Nations want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness [lit. excessive drinking], orgies, drinking parties [lit. drinkings], and lawless idolatry.” The word for “drunkenness” here is not the usually word for drunkenness in Greek, but it is oinophlugia made of two words oinos meaning wine and phlugia is to do something in excess. Excessive drinking is a sin. Also, don’t overlook the reference here to drinking parties. This is the word potos, which denotes occasions for drinking. This is any occasion where excessive drinking can occur. This would include more than bars and drinking parties such as out-of-control athletic events and house parties turned into occasions of drinking. Christians being followers of Christ must be sober and not be drunk in any way. Christians cannot be a part of occasions for drinking. Christ had no part with drunkenness and drinking parties, so His followers must not.
Did Jesus use alcoholic wine in the Lord’s Supper? Many have justified excessive drinking and drunkenness by how many denominations have made alcoholic wine a part of the “Eucharist”, the Lord’s Supper. Did Jesus use wine when He instituted the Lord’s Supper? No, He did not. Actually, wine has nothing to do with the Lord’s Supper. The word “wine” is never used in reference to the Lord’s Supper. People have invented the idea that Jesus used wine in the Lord’s Supper. Jesus mentions the specific content of the cup to drink being “the fruit of the vine” or an even better translation “the fruit of the grapevine“. On top of all of this, Jesus used unleavened bread because it was the time of the Passover when all leaven was thrown out. This also included the throwing out of leavened grape-juice, intoxicating wine. Since “fruit of the grapevine” was unleavened in the Lord’s Supper, then the only fermentation would be between 0-3%. If with bias one asserted this “wine” to be alcohol, then this could only be 3%, which is useless to drinkers since gallons would have to be drunk to intake enough to intoxicate, but even then the wine would be so deluded and quickly released from the body.
When Jesus used “wine”, then it would have been nonalcoholic up to maybe 3% alcohol. Clearly, many need to reconsider their position on drinking alcohol. If you’ve been using Jesus to justify excessive drinking, drunkenness, and drinking places, then please reexamine your views in accordance with the words and life of Christ. The reality is that the Bible does not support drinking intoxicants.

Like I said, I have no problem with drinking a bottle of beer or a glass of wine. The sin is drunkenness not drinking an alcoholic drink. So, if you feel it’s wrong, don’t drink. As for me, I feel the liberty to do so.

Hey, I don’t care to judge what you do at all..not my place. That’s up to you..I was ONLY correcting what you said about Jesus… just the part about Jesus drinking wine…Jesus did drink wine…. unfermented. That was all I cared about. As far as whether or not it’s ‘okay’ to drink, that’s such a debatable topic I wouldn’t care to get into a debate about that. Everyone has a different opinion. I don’t really know if it’s a sin for a person to have a small glass of wine once in a blue moon…personally, I would say it is..but I can’t go around telling people “That is a sin!” because the Bible doesn’t come out and tell us that.. I can only speculate..I can’t back that up. The only thing I can for sure back up is that Jesus did not drink alcholic beverages.
If I drank, my face would swell up because of my allergies..I would look like a blowfish! So I personally don’t drink ever…nor do I eat anything fermented.

We’re probably more alike than I’ve realized, both stubborn and set in our ways when we think we’re right about something. Anyway, we’re just not going to convince one another of each other’s points of view so let’s just move forward, okay?
I do respect your deep love for Jesus Christ, even if we disagree about various ways of interpreting what’s in the bible. God will show us where we’re off track, if either one of us are. In the interim, I hope you’ll begin to feel better and not so upset because as many have been saying all over wordpress, God is in charge no matter whom He allowed to be elected and all will proceed according to His will and plan.

IMPORTANT! TO EVERYONE REGARDING THE TWISTED SISTER VIDEO! When I got up to use the restroom last night, my son and I had been sitting here (he’s twelve going on thirteen soon) watching goofy videos..and he saw me posting here as well prior to that. He THOUGHT he was being funny and posted the TWISTED SISTER video as me..well, I was logged in and he does not use my pc or have a WordPress account. He also did it on my facebook too, which I immediately deleted. Unfortunately, I can’t delete things that are posted on other people’s pages. This is the first time anything like this has happened..and he did get in trouble..although he thought he was just being funny. This video is not something I would ever in a million years post anywhere, and i find parts of it crude and offensive. Just wanted everyone to know what had happened. Again, I apologize as I must, as a mother, take responsibility somewhat for my son’s actions. Usually, when I walk away from my computer I hit sleep. This time, I did not. Actually, without making temperance teaching assumptions, you can not state for sure that Jesus did not drink alcoholic beverages.
In Matthew 11:18-19, it compares the ministries of Jesus and John the Baptist. John did not drink alcoholic drink, but Jesus was called a drunkard. John was brought up under a Nazirite vow, but Jesus was not. Now, what was the reason Jesus was called a drunkard? Because He drank alcoholic drink which the Pharisees did not approve of.
Do you know why the Pharisees didn’t approve of drinking? The Pharisees constructed their oral traditions to be a fence around people to keep them from sinning. Drunkenness is a sin. Thus, the Pharisees disapproved of drinking to keep the people from committing the sin of drunkenness.
So, do you agree with what Jesus did? Or with the Pharisees?

No. They called Him a drunkard because they thought He was crazy and they tried constantly to ridicule Him and make things up so that people would not follow Him. They hated Him and rejected Him. They called Jesus all sorts of things. In all of the contexts in relation to Jesus and wine (see the long article above I copied and pasted), the original greek word for wine used was NOT fermented wine. That’s all I can tell you. You always have to go back on some things to the original Greek/Hebrew. There are many words that were translated improperly and some that were, but are just plain interesting. Like to word for create in Genesis is “bara” which means to make something out of nothing. In other places in the Bible where the word create was used, a different Hebrew/Greek word was used meaning MAKE, to make something out of something (sorry, I can’t at the exact moment remember that word for make) However, in the Bible, in other places, they used the word create, though they should have used made. In Genesis..the correct word…Bara…was used as it should’ve been. But in other places where the word used should have been MADE, they used create. God is the only one, for example, that can create. Man can create (BARA) nothing..not even a human life. The egg comes from the woman, and the sperm comes from the male…together, they make something.. a human spirit is Created by God. Hey, I’m just trying to give you correct information. If you don’t want to believe me, that is fine. Whether or not you believe Jesus drank wine or not won’t send you to hell, however, we shouldn’t tell people something like that unless we know it for sure. I was trying to give you correct info on that..I used to think He drank wine as well until I studied it (Study to show thyself approved..) and so I was sharing it with you..thinking you would want to know the accurate information. If you don’t accept it, this is fine…but I tried telling you. I won’t carry this further as it becomes needless..so, without saying it rudely or angrily, because I don’t mean it that way, you may respond but I probably won’t write back because at that point, it becomes arguing… I wasn’t meaning to debate or argue..just to give you accurate information. We both studied it and now disagree. You don’t drink wine or beer and I do. Once again,the sin is drunkenness, not drinking. So, if Jesus drank 100 proof wine, and wasn’t drunk, there was no sin involved.

Like I said Larry..I wasn’t looking to argue. Some people don’t want knowledge..and this is okay…or they just refuse it..that’s okay too. My goal was to share information with something you had stated that was not correct. Like I said, we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. No hard feelings.
