“Spreading the Wealth” or “Spreading the Gospel”

The “Spread the Wealth” idea the present administration has attempted to entice the nation to accept is not Biblical.

Praying seriously about the state of our country and this election for the last year, God finally revealed to me what I needed to know.

I have found the more I “pester” God about an issue the more he reveals to me. However, many prayer requests remain on his cherry wooden desk waiting on his response.

Maybe he needs a better assistant.

A few weeks ago I received an Absentee Ballot due to circumstances surrounding Nov 6th.  Knowing God does not want Christians to vote for anyone who actively opposes his Biblical references, is not only a vote against God, it will in turn declare an unrighteous position on the voter that automatically affects our country.

The issue of “Spread the Wealth” program was one of my many “questions for God.”

God knows the hearts of people and how much we want to help others.

The programs already administered by the government like welfare, food stamps; WIC, Medicare, etc. are given out by citizens who qualify. The funds are collected in taxes. What happens if the government is broke?

No problem. Raise taxes.

IF THEY RAISE TAXES ON ME I WILL YELL. PRESENTLY I AM PAYING ESTIMATED TAXES ON MONEY THE GOVERNMENT THINKS I WILL GET. NOT MONEY I AM RECEIVING; THE GOVERNMENT WANTS THEIR SHARE BEFORE I GET MINE!

I feel better now.

Governments who continue to seize taxpayer’s money will eventually be given more control.

So the people the government says they want to help end up with less because there is no more money from the taxpayers……

I wonder if the government is going to take from the homeless what they don’t have.

Oh. They took it from me when I was a single mother, who worked while half dead for 12 years. We barely had enough to eat but they taxed me because I had a job. Therefore, forget giving me food stamps or WIC. I didn’t qualify.

Somehow that wasn’t fair to me or my child. I should protest.

God in his infinite humor loves to entice me with his clever devices of announcing himself. As if he is playing a game, I am chasing after him through the mazes of his word so I CAN HAVE SOME PEACE!

Besides my marathon running after him, he thrives on NEVER DOING IT THE SAME WAY TWICE!

The following is his plan of equality written centuries ago that our government has shoved out the door.

1 Corinthians 8:13-15 “Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”

That’s it folks; plain and simple. We help each other willingly as we have so that when we need, others help us.

You ask, “Isn’t that what the government is doing?”

Giving is opposite of taking which is the government’s idea; not God’s.

God’s heavenly bank is always overflowing. Governments were not created to be a source of income for everything. Taxes are specifically for building up a defense to protect the people and infrastructure.

James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

The above verses spell out that equality is the church’s job, not the government. When God is in charge, you won’t get ripped off.

As we have, we give.

The more you give, the more abundance will flow into your life so you can give more…..

So here is a little quiz: if God controls who our leaders are and we only have 2 candidates, which one speaks from a Biblical standpoint? The following are a few of the major differences in the two candidates.

President Obama: For: abortion, gay marriage, defense cuts, raise taxes, national healthcare, more spending (no budget)

Against: support of Israel, Keystone pipeline, drilling on U.S. soil,

Governor Mitt Romney: For: Support of Israel 100%, strengthen defense, lower taxes, balanced budget, cut spending,

Against: abortion, gay marriage, Obamacare, illegal immigration.

The question you should ask yourself is do you vote your opinion of what you think this country needs or God’s point of view?

If you aren’t sure, maybe you should ask God what you should do. And if you are sure, check with God anyway; he likes that.

  1. Wonderfully, emphatically stated! Pass the Ballot, Amen

  2. You go gal! And thanks for including my blog. I appreciate it.

    • Larry, I am interested in your take on this election. I understand your position from both sides and it is frustrating. But God spoke to me about 3 weeks ago concerning this. If you want to know I will fb you. It changed everything for me.

      • A long time I learned this about God. He could be telling you to go join a certain church, but at the same time, I could be sitting in that same church and He could be asking me to leave. Which of us heard the voice of God? Both. It’s not about being right or wrong on that particular church, it’s about His plan and obeying Him.

        The same works for politics.

  3. The incumbent just digs himself deeper & deeper into my pit of distrust every time he opens his mouth about anything. BUT even way before the last election, I just knew & felt something wrong there….

  4. I quite agree with Thomas Sowell’s quote as it applies to India too, and particularly to the Indian State of Tamilnadu from where I hail.

    • tvaraj, so good to hear from you. Yes, I recently discovered him, Thomas Sowell; actually my dad sent me some of his famous quotes. He makes so much sense. Plus I may be a little biased now since I found out he and I/my family are from the same city! God bless you!

  5. Amen! I’m praying American’s vote correctly this time around! And we better protect Israeli — not only has it been written, but it has been written as a warning!
    God Bless You!

  6. I can leave a Like now Cathy as you can see, perhaps the WP error has been corrected.

Don’t worry that you have to moderate my Comments as I have a new e-mail address.

    Love Anne

    • Anne, sorry I have hardly been online; I have the stomach flu. Started with it yesterday. It is going around here. I have been in the bed mostly today except for visits to the toilet! I hate this stuff!

      • Hi Cathy, just letting you know you still have one of my comments waiting moderating, I will post again to save you the worry.

I’m so sorry your not feeling well, it’s not very nice to be full up with a bug they say drinking plenty of water helps. I don’t think you have to be Clappy Happy about it either but we can give thanks that God cares when we are suffering.

Thank you for taking the time Cathy to comment on my Blog when your not well, you are indeed a very special woman I’m so pleased we met.

        Christian Love Anne

      • Anne, thanks for your concern. I am some better today, but weak. Drinking lots of water as you say and eating yogurt, toast, broth, etc. I haven’t checked any thing yet today here online. Didn’t even feel like writing. I continue to question God about what I am missing about healing. After serious study of his healing passages for over 15 years I don’t understand what it is that seems to be so difficult for me to get. I have seen others healed so I know it is real and is what the Bible teaches. I will keep praying!

  7. I did indeed Like your message Cathy, we are to seek to choose our Leadership from those who honour God or we will reap what we sow, God will give us what we want but we will suffer, it’s our choice.

Just to let you know that everyone was deleted who we I follow, we have joined up with most again but I hope you didn’t think I didn’t want to receive your messages, I very much do, I believe you are seeking God’s will Cathy with all your heart and I’m blessed to see you always stand up for His Truth.

I also remember last Christmas Cathy and on my Birthday, that because of Ron’s family commitments and a personal issue at the time, I spent them alone and you were very kind to me, my heartfelt thanks always.

As you know I have now Posted about Halloween thanks again for commenting, but it was not like I was going to it was more personal, it will be the same with the Cults but I still hope to get the message across , thanks for your encouragement.

We will be going away for a Holiday again soon, to have a rest, somewhere close but near the Beach, as you know our other Holiday ended sadly with Missy dieing…today is a new Day in which we can give thanks and move on in Love, God’s mercies and greater blessings are new and given everyday for those who Love and Honour Him our risen King of Kings but for those who reject Him regardless of their Nationality, sadly they will be lost eternally!..

Take Care dear friend – Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

  8. Hi again Cathy, I hope your feeling a lot better today, it is indeed not pleasant to suffer but I know and have witnessed and experienced that God although He cares very much about everything we encounter in life and upholds us, He does not always intervene Miraculously but He does when necessary, as He knows how much we can endure.

God has blessed us with natural healing remedies and Medicine and when not abused they can give wonderful relief not just to Christians but unbelievers too, they share in our Blessings and God’s provision, even the sun and rain. We need to give Him thanks for all of these and not just take them for granted. God is the only Healer but often uses His creation to heal, give relief and protect.

We see this Truth in Scripture in the Garden of Eden also with Jesus who after bringing to life again the young girl who had died physically but not eternally, instructed her Parents to feed her so her strength would return, He could have just zapped her but chose to use God’s blessing of food to fully restore her as He did other times with mud and water.

Paul also advised Timothy ( see below ) to drink wine, water in those days often had many impurities but I do not suggest getting drunk, boil the wine first and let it cool down, then just sip it slowly while giving thanks to God, alternatively use Gaviscon Liquid or something similar to settle your Tummy, they did not have this in Paul’s days, but whatever we use, we give thanks to God for His provision and healing. But we do need to remember too, sin can stop God’s healing and holding onto our anger without resolving it the same as is bitterness and resentment and no quick fix will help, only heart repentance.

1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

    Christian Love Anne

    • Anne, thanks for your concern. I have been better today, but catching up is hard. I finally wrote a post for tomorrow because the last 2 days I didn’t even turn this on.

You are right about the girl needing nourishment and God could have zapped her but chose to use human food to do the trick. My issue with myself is after 15 years of off and on sickness, mostly due to menopause in my 40’s that left my system wrecked, I still can’t figure out what I am missing. I have read over and over God’s healing words; witnessed healing and miracles, so I feel like I should have the answer! that sounds silly doesn’t it?

My husband said I am trying to hard; that coming from a perfectly healthy man who never gets sick. Anyway, I have to say I wouldn’t know God’s healing words so well had I not been sick. So….it has certainly been useful for something so good.

      • Hi Cathy, I believe that when those who Love us offer advice we need to check it out, yes they may be in error but there also could be Truth in what they say.

Keep in mind Cathy that I still have physical problems, that I suffer pain with to some extent, but I was given the gift of God’s Balm from Peter a Christian friend who had asked God for His help to relieve the pain of those who suffer physically. I have also been healed Miraculously of quiet a few conditions, some life threatening, some not but I never stress if I’m not healed, I do what I can and leave the rest to God.

At one time it was impossible for me to get the Medication that I had been on for 15 years, I was worried, and so was the Doctor fearing that I would have bad withdrawal, I prayed fervently and asked others to pray for me but it was shown that by not being able to get this Medication I didn’t need it any more and I had no withdrawal which the Doctor could not explain, in fact the Medication was preventing my Thyroid condition from being controlled but for others it may not have been so.

God knows what we need and it may be very different to someone else, we Trust Him and patiently wait on Him, His healing may be in a way we do not or cannot imagine.

        Christian Love Anne.

      • Anne, thanks. Like you, God has healed me of many things and I am so thankful.  My mom and dad have both been miraculously healed, not that they didn’t suffer a great deal, but my mother has been virtually well for almost 50 years.

I know God wants us well; 3 John 2 and that he doesn’t use sickness as a tool to teach us. Jesus healed people all during his 3 year ministry. My husband thinks I am trying to hard!  oh well, I will keep praying and plugging along. I am better today but I want my strength back.

  9. Fantastic post! Keep up the good work.

  10. I respect your blog and your opinions and I can tell you thought this out and you’re a praying woman…so I trust what you wrote.

I vote for who my husband suggest to me…why?…because my husband is a wonderful and very smart man of God and I trust his judgement and wisdom. He’s led by the principals of God’s word so I think…we are truly one.

I’m praying for this country and for our government and I’m thankful for what God has done here because things could be worse…but I know very well that we as a country have a lot of things to overcome. This is why we must know all the details and reasons of who we vote for like you have in this blog today. God bless you my sister and continue to voice your oppinion.

    • Dear Camry, thank you. I know you have a heart for God so clear. This country has been on my mind/heart for quite sometime. I am convinced God started speaking to me over a year ago to start praying for our President and this election. I was so hoping the President would follow God who has been tapping on his shoulder since before he was elected in 2008. I can’t understand why he hasn’t listened; there are prophecies to back this up.

About a month ago, the day I received my absentee ballot, I really didn’t know what to do. At that point I cried out to God and said, “unless you tell me exactly what you want here, I can’t vote.”  So I sat it aside.

A few days later, the answer came through loud and clear; exactly who to vote for, and what is going to happen. I have no doubt, because in the past when God has done this, it always turned out exactly as he told me. God Bless you dear. You always warm my heart with your words.

      • I know everybody thinks my name is Camary….but it’s Tanya. Funny story here….over 10 years ago when I picked out this name I had a 1996 Toyota Camry….silly me spelled it wrong so….it just stayed.

Since My husband and I are voting for what we feel is the best for our country….we have come under great attacks from our own family…so we don’t share anymore about this with family and friends. Blessed are the peace makers LOL!

      • Camry / Tanya! Yes, that is funny! but it happens to me too. My name is Cathy but my wordpress name is Naptali. I thought more people would ask me where I got that; you probably know!  Anyway, I was taking some courses on Prophecy about 3 years ago. One of the questions asked of us was “which one of the twelve tribes best suites you?”

As I pondered the list and studied the different ones, “wrestling with God” seemed to be me at the time. So it stuck!  Do you know I have only had one person ask me where it came from! lol!

BTW: I do understand about your position politically. Keep the peace.

    • I thought Naphtali was your last name even though your name tag below has your real name. I feel that my day was made better because I know what Naphtali means now LOL!
