Robin Hood Wore Tights, Not Jeans

Poor Robin Hood; he never knew what it was like to wear jeans. Even as his bandit life of stealing from the rich to give to the poor he never changed his taste in fashion. As an expert Archer, jeans may have not been appropriate. The idea of him wearing the Classic Lee Jeans or Levi’s just doesn’t fit his style.

The tales of running into Sherwood Forest after his exile from his father’s castle, or the many variations of his story, he decided on a life of thievery. Feeling the crunch of the Sheriff of Nottingham he decided living in the forest was a much safer haven.

Of course he had to hire some help. Along the deep, dark trails he ran into some rather coarse and raunchy gentlemen. He befriended them with his charm and even won over the famous “Friar Tuck” with his raw ideology.  A round of applause erupted as these uncivilized, ill-mannered barbarians visualized the pounds of monetary funds headed their way.

This is a story or legend, but in our modern day world this society’s leadership has all but attached this theory of the “Robin Hood Syndrome.”

The legend or fable possibly was based on some truth, but thievery is still thievery. No matter how you look at it, this is not a Biblically based manner of government.

Paying taxes is expected, but to tax one group of people more than others is discriminatory and wrong. We live in a free, entrepreneurial society and making a profit is the reward. Why should hard working earners be penalized for making money? After all, it was the American Dream.

The Declaration of Independence: July 4, 1776

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

The governing authority of this great land has deemed we are “endowed by the Creator.”

Endowed means to provide with something freely or naturally; to furnish with an income or to bless, favor, invest or gifted.

Our endowment comes from God almighty.

As the declaration states this, then our endowment does not come from:

Robin Hood and his Merry Men

The President, Federal or State Governments


The U.N.


Bill Gates or Michael Bloomberg

God gave America the freedoms to choose; not be told what we will do or not do.

The Declaration also gives us, American citizens the right to abolish or alter a government that is destructive. What?

If the Declaration of Independence states America was endowed by God our Creator, then we are to follow the rules given by the Creator; the Bible.

If the present government administration does not abide by the Bible, and the content thereof, the people have the right to alter it or abolish it.

The Bible will not accept a government or bless it if the ruling authorities agree with abortion (Roe V Wade) outstanding debt (16 + trillion $) or homosexuality (Gay Marriage)

Most important is the support of Israel. The Bible explicitly states:

Psalm 122:6 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you!”

Sounds like America needs to do some altering. Or abolishing.

And tell Robin Hood he needs to get himself a real job. Then he can buy his own jeans.

Obadiah 1:15 “The day of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.”
