Contrary to popular belief demonic spirits do not rush into our lives. They have nothing to lose so accelerating the process is not part of their plan. Insignificantly they creep in. Lust, or a social drink by one who has alcoholism in their family are a beginning for the progression of destruction. Temptation, torment, sin and death are the aim of evil spirits. What was it the serpent enticed Eve with in the Garden? An apple. Delicious, healthy and small. Yet it led to the downfall of man.
James 1: 14 “Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”
Rick Joyner, a modern day spirit filled prophet wrote in his weekly newsletter one of the biggest sins and hindrances to the Christian church is “unbelief.” The church has thrown out many beliefs God never intended to be eliminated. How has this happened? The enemy managed to get the separation of church and state, preaching on healing, speaking in tongues, prophecies and the gifts of the spirit to be recognized as wrong, or only meant for the church in the days of the Book of Acts.
Satan has Christians believing they should stay out of politics. Jesus healed people when he was on earth, not now. Speaking in tongues occurred only on the day of Pentecost. Prophets are false and the gifts of the spirit simply don’t exist.
Don’t wake me up.
The devil has the church believing Christians should remove themselves from the political arena. Why? If we have dedicated, Holy Spirit filled leaders the enemy would not be able to do what he is doing now.
Even with doctors/medicines no one would be alive today if God wasn’t in the business of healing people.
Prayer languages, prophecies and the gifts of the spirit couldn’t be used today: they would profit the Kingdom of God even though it says in Acts 2: 17-18 “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”
What did that say again? It says “in the last days?” duh…. If Paul said “Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11-12)
And Peter said “The end of all things is at hand.” (1 Peter 4:7)
So, if Peter and Paul spoke of the last days 2000 years ago, what are we living in now?
The church has affectively run the Holy Spirit out. Our conversations, attitudes, nature and physical appearances have allowed the enemy to choke the life out of Christian circles.
The words that come out of our mouths should be sanctified; full of grace. (Ephesians 4:29)
Our actions should be like Jesus. (1 Peter 1: 15-16)
