R.S.V.P. It is with great sadness that I will not be attending the 2013 Inauguration this year. If Mitt Romney had been elected I would make every effort to attend.
This historical event will be overshadowed by my prayers for this nation. Instead of investing my hard earned dollars on festivities, events and Inaugural Balls, I will devote my time in noteworthy honor to God.
In my heart of hearts I cannot watch the desecration of the Office of President again. We have allowed our country to fall into the devil’s traps so much this President has no conscience but to avert his attention to himself as an “Executive Order” of the people.
Realizing the Inauguration is supposed to be held in high esteem and merit, I wonder how many of those waiting for help from the government hit by Hurricane Sandy will appreciate the funds pummeled into this gala party. This is notwithstanding the unemployed, or the employed paying for those who choose not to work, or the many heroes of our military losing their jobs due to defense cuts. Somehow the hypocrisy here is “unmerited.”
Oh, and one more thing. How many armed guards, police or military personnel will be guarding this event?
I will have to R.S.V.P. my apologies as well. Perhaps they can donate what they would have spent on my portion of wine, debauchery, and song to those who are truly in need.
