Public platforms can backfire. It might be a good idea if you are Piers Morgan to get your bags, find the nearest airport and fly away.
Boastfully laughing about the many that dislike him, he argues his points of gun control and the infallibility of the Bible as if his opinion matters.
It is one thing to compartmentalize the affects of guns into a twisted armor that we who own them don’t care about the gun murder rate in America. Yes, that was his “shot” at Larry Pratt but not until he called him “an incredibly stupid man” on his show.
As Piers Morgan once again took on the ranks of Ted Nugent, he performed to his self-heightened ego by living up to his ignorance. If I was anti-guns Ted Nugent is not the sharp shooter I would seek out to disperse all over national television. And as it was Ted Nugent was himself holding nothing back.
But….he really showed his lack of wisdom in an interview with Pastor Rick Warren. Morgan refuted the Bible’s authenticity and determined it needs to be amended. Wrong.
Laying out the need to change the Bible’s stance on Gay marriage, Pastor Warren quickly responded with “not a chance.” Morgan likened the Bible to the constitution as if to amend it was just another day at the office.
Piers Morgan appeared to have little respect for Pastor Warren or his credentials. His blatant ideas of what he believes the Bible should be wreaked of one more arrogant anti-Christian diatribe.
Warren’s rebuttal clearly stated that “if it was true a thousand years ago, then it is true today.” Truth doesn’t change; opinions change. Sounds like Pastor Warren wasn’t impressed with Mr. Morgan’s personal opinions.
If Morgan debates issues with those he disagrees with to gain ratings, he might want to change his tactics. Or change his arguments. Or quit altogether.
The bottom line to Piers Morgan’s stance on anything American is he is not an American. He holds no citizenship here; yet he uses his position of influence on national TV to trash our constitution, and undermine our Bill of Rights. Attacking our civil liberties is like one of us going to England in an attempt to dethrone the Queen, slander the Royal family and end their traditions handed down for centuries.
After his failed debacles of gun control, petitions were created to deport him to his homeland, England. But, a group in the U.K. called “We the People” launched a website called “Keep Piers Morgan in the U.S.A.”
