It’s June and I received a flyer from TWC about my internet service. Offering to save me $160.00 a year by going up on my bill $9.00 a month somehow didn’t seem like savings to me. And they consider me a “Valued Customer.” Yeah, right. I should be considered your best customer. I have paid early every month and never missed.
Whatever happened to the reward system?
The flyer states; “You’ll automatically see the change in your next statement.
So you don’t have to do a thing!”
I called.
The first day they were having phone problems so I decided to call the next day.
After speaking to 7 different reps with differing options except one, I decided this wasn’t working. The option they all gave was my promotion didn’t run out until Aug. 4 so they couldn’t give me another promotion until then. What?
So….I asked,
“You are telling me I have to wait until I receive my next statement with a higher cost for the same service before I might be able to get a new promotion? “
Rep” Yes, that’s right.”
“Then why does this flyer from President Mike Munley tell me all I have to do is call?”
Rep “Ma’am, I don’t know which flyer you are speaking of.”
“Oh. You know. The one from the President of Residential Services.”
Rep “Ma’am, we can’t offer you anything until your promotion runs out.”
Refusing to give me his address I used the one on the flyer and mailed him a letter including references to all 7 reps and the outcome of which was no outcome.
I am patiently waiting for a response.
However, I highly recommend Dish Network. I left TWC TV 3 years ago due to the monthly raises in my statement and switched to satellite TV. It was a great move. We have never had to have a technician out for anything because the Satellite repairs itself.
Calling Dish Network opposed to TWC was like a breath of fresh air. I spoke to one woman who went over our service and due to our perfect credit history she found ways to lower our monthly statement $48.00. If you have a certain Tier for a number of channels you can opt to keep ones for a small monthly fee and cut out channels you don’t ever watch. She removed a monthly tech fee I never used and gave me a large percentage off for good behavior.
Dish Network rewards their excellent customers. TWC doesn’t.
Dish Network reworks your channels to cut the cost and gives discounts for excellent customers. TWC doesn’t.
As far as customer service, TWC could take lessons from Dish. There is no comparison between the two.
Competition may be fierce, but there is no substitution for customer service.
Greed takes precedence over much of anything anymore.
Forget the customer. Make more money.
1 Timothy 6: 10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

Customer service is always promised, but seldom delivered. (Sigh)
We have dish too, and I don’t have any problems either other than I don’t watch much television.
Great Post, Cathy!
God Bless You!
sis i sent out the receipt yesterday.
