There are some things that should not be shared!

Posted on

My family is unique or maybe not. They want to share everything. Especially their colds, sore throats and viruses. As I sit here in the bed in between bouts of blowing my nose, coughing, sneezing, drinking fluids to heal my aching throat, I would like to tell them next time don’t be so generous.

Our daughter has coughed to the point of almost throwing up and my husband has sneezed so much he all but blew his nose off. Now that you are thorougly disgusted, would you like to join us? We have plenty of hot tea, OJ, Gatorade, Diet Blueberry-Pomegranate Juice and of course H2O. It is a fun house to be in. I didn’t post anything last night because my throat was beginning to get sore.

For me, I can say thank you God because I have certainly felt much worse than this. After spending time alone with God praying his healing scriptures as I do regularly, I am believing this is the worst of it. After a lifetime of strep throats, ear infections. colds, and viruses I am also thankful to God I have never had pneumonia or Mono.

In case you haven’t noticed I am trying to look on the bright side here. Yesterday my daughter in between coughing herself to infinity said, “I guess I should be thankful for antibiotics. People use to die from this kind of sickness.” She is right.  We are blessed to live in a day and time of such modern medicine.

Sorry this is taking me a while to write. Between feeling like I need to cough something out, drinking water and then running back to the toilet to relieve my bladder I may as well just get up!

I really thought I would miss it this time as allergies have been a serious problem for me. My husband insisted on kissing me good by this week. “Thanks honey, but I would rather you keep your sickly germs to yourself.”

So, as my symptoms have worsened I made a long trip to the Urgent Care of my clinic. I don’t know what I have but it is not strep. A steroid shot in the rear, some Mucinex DM and a round of Antibiotics should do it. Oh, yea and a lot of prayer.

All my life I have dealt with allergies, upper respiratory infections and  female troubles.  I believe more now than ever God wants all of his children to walk in health. He specifically speaks that in 3 John 2.

10 years ago I didn’t believe that. In fact there were many days of sickness I wanted to die. As the saying goes, “I have come a long way baby!” Now I believe the opposite. God wants his children to walk in Divine Health. Maybe had I not witnessed this in my own mother, I would question it now. She is 82 and was very sick for years until her mid 30′s. She began reading God’s healing scriptures over and over. I can count on one hand how many times she has been sick in the last 45 years. She is in perfect health now. Even her doctors tell her she is the healthiest person they have ever met.

You may be skeptical or doubt, I use to but not anymore. Even as my throat screams of pain I am healed in Jesus’ name. Jesus took our sicknesses, every one of them on the cross; our sicknesses died just as our sins. I believe God wants me well and as I soak myself daily in his healing words, I too seek Divine Health.

God Speaks I Listen

This blog is inspired from my prayer times with God. I listen to what He says to me and then I share it with others. My hope is to encourage someone a long the way in their desire to seek more of the Lord in a supernatural way. God bless all who stop by!
