Charlie Brown found the best tree in the woods. Small, with few limbs and leaves. Charlie Brown brought the tree home. Placing it in a stand he observed all it needed. Would this win his friends approval? Would he be the popular guy he always wanted to be since he found the tree of life? He stood before the little tree pondering what to do next.
Charlie Brown decided to call a professional. Snoopy always knows what to do. Snoopy said “something is missing.”
They decided to get a second opinion. Linus was called in for his “take” on the issue. As Linus approached, the little tree fell over. The weight of the decoration was too heavy for a mini-Christmas tree. Linus was sad that Charlie Brown had messed up again.
AND THEN! Linus with his flair for imagination used his trusty blanket to cover the bottom of the tree. The blanket gave the tree support it would not have otherwise received.
Once the tree was covered in the blanket, the decorating began. All the “Peanuts” gang were called in to celebrate.
Singing carols with happy smiles, Charlie Brown had in the end saved the day.
So, Charlie Brown, do you think you can decorate my tree?
